Understanding traditional and world music through contact with the processes of creation and diffusion

It is, above all, about being sensitive to audiences and to allow people coming from very different universes to meet and approach an artistic universe.
The quality of this relationship constitutes the very nature of our action towards audiences. +SilO+ audiences participate as « researcher audiences », in the form of the artistic and cultural education path « The Planting » which initiates privileged and sensitive dialogue in 2 axes :

Reinforcing the connections between creation and audiences

• During creative residencies, the +SilO+ makes the works and the working methods of artists accessible
• The +SilO+ initiates unprecedented meetings between visiting artists and residents all year round which make contemporary creations both essentiel and accessible.
• During public rehearsals there are exchanges and dialogue, sharing of knowledge between professionals and amateurs, work-in-progress showings …
• During the peak of the performance season, the +SilO+ supports access of all audiences to programmed events

Developing musical expression

• Co-ordinating workshops and meetings in the public school system
• Co-ordinating educational artistic workshops and meetings in the framework of specific audiences
• Relationships with regional actors and close networks
